This duology is just so much fun, and it is an absolute pleasure to read from start to finish! If you haven’t started Daughter of the Pirate King yet, what are you waiting for?! Check out my full review below and go get your pre-order on! You do not want to miss this book!

About the Book-9

Alosa’s mission is finally complete. Not only has she recovered all three pieces of the map to a legendary hidden treasure, but the pirates who originally took her captive are now prisoners on her ship. Still unfairly attractive and unexpectedly loyal, first mate Riden is a constant distraction, but now he’s under her orders. And she takes great comfort in knowing that the villainous Vordan will soon be facing her father’s justice.

When Vordan exposes a secret her father has kept for years, Alosa and her crew find themselves in a deadly race with the feared Pirate King. Despite the danger, Alosa knows they will recover the treasure first . . . after all, she is the daughter of the Siren Queen.

My Review

Alosa is back! And she’s more fierce than ever as she and her amazing crew of kick-butt lady pirates face off against the Pirate King himself in a race to uncover a legendary hidden treasure. DAUGHTER OF THE SIREN QUEEN comes alive with action, adventure, and romance, and it is beyond a doubt the most fun novel I’ve read this year!

Alosa is so much more than a lady version of Jack Sparrow. She is brave, loving, intelligent, and fiercely loyal. She isn’t just a main character that you root for, she is a main character that readers will dream of becoming.

One of my favorite parts of DAUGHTER OF THE SIREN QUEEN was getting to see more of Alosa’s mostly female crew. These ladies are so dynamic. Levenseller has given each of them such relatable yet admirable characteristics, and getting to sail alongside them on this adventure was such a treat. I can’t discount the male members of the crew either. They were also fantastic, fun, and VERY swoon-worthy.

Speaking of swoony, Riden is the perfect love interest! He is strong enough to challenge Alosa and also strong enough to support her. And the chemistry between the two of them truly sizzles. Levenseller does an incredible job of ratcheting up the romantic tension between the two of them while also delivering some steamy scenes that will definitely have readers cheering.

The plot is so full of action and adventure and everything you’d hope from a high-seas adventure. There is plenty of swashbuckling and unexpected twists and turns that will keep readers turning those pages late into the night.

This book was the perfect follow up to Levenseller’s hit debut novel, DAUGHTER OF THE PIRATE KING. I had so much fun reading it, and I can’t wait to see what Levenseller has in store for us next.

OOOOOH. I thought this was a trilogy, so I’ve been waiting for the final book to come out! Silly me. No wonder I’ve only heard crickets! I definitely need to pick up both books in this duology ASAP.

Do you feel like one of these books was stronger than the other? Which book of the two is your favorite?

Hooray for duologies! It’s out the end of the month, so read away! 🙂 I honestly ADORE both of these books. They have such a fun tone. By far the most fun reading experience I’ve had since Harry Potter, which is saying something!

Yay! I am so excited that we get to see more of the (mostly) female pirate crew! Girl power 🙂 I also really enjoyed Alosa’s and Riden’s developing relationship in the first book, so I can’t wait to read more in book #2!
